Hope this summer was great. Will you be staying on with Julia/MPR in any? Wish I'd been smart and stuck with my journalism major and interned with MPR. What a rich sip of coffee!

My dogs are 1) American bully mix Dakota, age almost 2 years, 2) Labrador retriever Amy, age 1 year, and 3) pit bull Spirit, age 8 months. The training is going real well with all 3. Speaking of shootings. My neighbor who is remodeling our house just said that one of his friends was shot and killed yesterday in Flint. I don't know the details yet but I plan to check the news tonight.

Believe it or not, I have not read the book Diary of Anne Frank. I have heard and read quite a bit about it though. Its interesting.

Hi Heliza, the link you sent me did not work. Unless I typed it wrong. I keep missing your discussions when I find them so interesting. Sorry I missed this one. Even though I was a t work at that time. I would have still been able to have something to say.

Without having read the interview prompting the Battle of the Sexes: Do women or men make better bosses, I will just inject my opinion based upon 40+ years of mostly office-based work within which I worked for "bosses" of both sexes across many companies.

Both can be lavish with their praise and uplifting to ones job satisfaction; Both can send you into the lion pit without batting an eyelash. Either way, IMHO, one has to make sure they are heading down the correct path before beginning work to avoid getting thrown to the lions.

So glad we're running in the same circle now!
